Acne: Cause, Preventions, Treatment

Are you suffering from acne? Acne is a condition in which the pores of the skin get clogged and form whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples. These different types of acne are essentially lesions that develop on the skin.

It is crucial to read the labels of all facial moisturizers and makeup products because many contain oil. These products need to be avoided at all costs. Other chemicals like lanolins, isopropyl myristate, sodium lauryl sulphate, and laureth-4 like to hide in facial products, and these ingredients can also cause acne and should be avoided. The best facial products are those that are water-based.

In fact, just as water-based products are good for the skin, drinking lots of water is another way to prevent acne. It is recommended you drink at least eight glasses of water each day.

As hair is quite oily, it is best to keep long hair away from your face. Oily hair could leave a residue on the skin, making you more prone to develop acne.

If acne does develop on your skin, you should try to avoid touching the lesions. In fact, the best thing to do is simply leave all pimples and whiteheads alone. Many people are taught to squeeze pimples, but this is actually a bad idea. By squeezing the pimple, you run a risk of developing an infection. The only time you should squeeze is if blackheads develop. When it comes to blackheads, gentle squeezing is the only way to remove them.

There are some acne medications on the market that can help to slow the spread of acne across the skin. It is a good idea to apply these topical creams on both the affected area and the area surrounding it to prevent the spread of acne.
